I left my husband back in November of last year, and in March of 2006, he filed for divorce because he believed it was what I wanted...so when he gave me the papers he told me what to do if I still wanted to sign the papers....hoping I would change my mind. I went and signed them, thinking there's nothing else I can do. I had been praying that everything would work out, but I felt there was nothing else I could do...And the divorce was final in April. Then about two weeks after that, God was working in my heart to even think about the possiblity of reconciling. Then to pray for it. Now since the end of April we have been back together, and things are going wonderful! Praise God!!! But I wonder is it possible to have those divorce papers erased? Like they have never happened. Has anyone experienced this?

Divorce once signed and final, is final. The good news is you can get remarried. If you are not a christian, get saved and GOD will help you through the trough times. A lot of people think that Christianity is bull, but it has help me through some tough times. GOD will always be there for you even when you stand alone here on earth. Think about it.

My cousin divorced her husband and then remarried him a few years later. Technical terms like annulment would apply for marriage, never heard of a divorce being annuled. What's the difference if you're back together and married. Good luck to both of you. I wish you happiness.

Does it really matter that the papers exist????? Marriage will annul the divorce. Praise the two of you. Stop giving God credit for so many things. SHE is a very busy person!

A legal marriage is a contract. I suppose it may matter where the divorce was filed. For instance, getting a divorce in Mexico for a marriage that took place in the US will not be recognized in the US as a legal divorce.
Also, their may have been clerical errors in your divorce that makes it invalid. Bottom line, consult a family law attorney.

I don't think that a divorce works like that...Its nice to hear that someone has worked it out through a divorce...That may just be what you both needed...May even be happy and together for ever...Give it some time and hope it works out for the both of you and forever happy...

You can have certain types of judgments "vacated" or in other words - erased. But there are very specific requirements. And I cannot imagine a divorce decree ever being vacated.

You can have your marriage annulled if you weren't married that long, or if you married under false pretences, the person forced you to get married, you were drunk when got married-there are a list of reasons. Just make sure you fall under the reasons
