Generally, no, seeing as how you don't own it. However, it would all depend on the contract you have with the lessor (leasing company). They might accept some things that they perceive to enhance the value of the car (such as striping or tinted windows), but might not go for low riders or huge amps in the back.

IT depends on the modifications and it depends on your lease. Contact whoever the lease is thru and ask them about the restrictions and provisions of your lease. In most cases your answer will be NO though, any "damage or obvious changes" to the vehicle may cost you a fine even if you think its improving the value of the car. If you intend to purchase after your lease is up then dont worry about it- but otherwise, I think your out of luck.

Modify away....but better bring your checkbook at closing cause you WILL be buying it at end of lease. Leasing is the single biggest rip-off since the the invention of smoke and mirrors and dealers will find EVERY single blemish and slam you at closing.

What kind of modifications are we talking here??? I guess if they are removable when you return the car that is cool. Otherwise you can buy it off lease when you're done and sell it.

NO! However, if you make mods that you can take off before you turn it in, then you might get away with it.
You don't OWN that car, you are renting it. You can't add a room to a house you're renting either.
