For those saying you can't or it's unhealthy or anything like that...well they've never done it. I did it back in January and February. I had been working out about 3 months at the time at least 3 times per week. I was doing something called interval training: it is very simple. You need to do at least 30 minutes of cardio everyday, but up to 50 minutes is best. You walk or run fast for 5 minutes, run for 10, walk for 5, run for 5, etc. etc.. Also do about 10 minutes of quickly paced light weight lifting. THE MAJOR change comes in two places: YOUR HEAD and YOUR KITCHEN. In your head, you need supportive believing thinking. Believe that it will happen. In your kitchen, you need to loose the sugar, butter, white flour, ALL BREAD, rice, pototoes and soft drinks. Splurge on lean carbs like veggies and low sugar fruits. Also, calcium is your friend!! So is protein. Treat yourself, but in VERY SMALL portions. Joining Weight Watchers helps because not only do you have a personal goal, they GIVE you a goal and you have whole team of supporters with tips and products. They sale a "candy/snack" called Fruities...that was my snack. I lost 6.2 pounds my first week, 4 pounds my 2nd week, 2 pounds my third week and 4 pounds my fourth week. Then I found out I was pregnant. (YAY!) I then lost 4 more pounds and that was just a residual effect of all the changes I'd been making over the months. Be sure to get at least 7 hours of sleep, but preferably 8 and drink as much cold water as you can everyday. You CAN do it and without the diet pills, fasting or any other unrecommended thing. Also, sign up at www.fheit.com just for the motivational discussions, commaraderie and the INCHES and POUNDS lost tracker. That did me a LOT of good. Best wishes. PLEASE let me know how it goes!!

You can cut off an arm. Actually 2 lb per week is considered the fastest rate that is still healthy. Obviously people can do faster w/o dying. However too fast (starvation) and your skin sags-- Read up on Richard Simmons. Surgery can leave parts of your body out or proportion.

The best way 1) increase exercise which ups your metabolism. 2) Stop eating when you are full. 3) Eat healthier choices.

Loosing weight to fast is not good. I think 14 pounds is appropriate though. I would recommend eating a proper diet such as salads (without dressing or cheese), fiber (apples, wheat bread, sandwiches), take vitamins, and drink a lot of water. Do cardiovascular exercise such as aerobics, biking, swimming, running. I hope this is helpful.

That's unhealthy. If you limit the amount of food you take in, drink lots of water and get excercise you will lose an average of 2-3 pounds of week which is perfectly healthy. 14 pounds is a lot of weight to want to lose in ONE month. I don't recommend it, you will end up making yourself a bit sick

3500 calories = 1 pound. 14 lbs = 49000 calories. 49000/30 = 1633.33. You would have to find a way to burn an extra 1633 calories a day. Good Luck with that.
