I let a friend drag me to my first (and last) hockey game last year. That was the most boring 3 or 4 hours I've ever spent in my life.. seemed like that crap lasted for-frikkin-ever... I'm with ya!!!

No, I'm not, and this is a stupid question to put in the hockey section.

The lockout was, as the 1994-95 one was, devastating to the sport. Those of us who care about hockey know that it's about much more than not being able to watch games -- or in your case not having to. It's about some of the critical issues surrounding pro hockey, including the struggle to keep it alive surrounded by the baseball/basketball/football leviathans.

And in 2004-5 it was a lockout, not a strike. Don't characterize it as something it wasn't. The NHL locked the players out. They ended discussions, not the NHLPA.

Why would you live there and pay attention to sports. Ok a good basketball team, at least they had been gettin to the playoffs and all lately, but really look at the teams. The football team sucks and has for years. The baseball team is only good because Lelyland is really that amazing, up til this year they were pretty much a joke. So if you don't like hockey just ignore it. I admit I don't live near the town but I don't think it is IMPOSSIABLE to ignore the sport. I can't picture people really walking up to you and start talking about hockey and expecting you to be knowledged in it.

I agree with KRF, if you don't like, don't watch it. No one makes you watch it. Was your life really that great when the NHL was on strike? And did it all come crashing down when the season started back up again?

You don't like hockey but you are in the hockey section... You're not sure if you live near Hockey town. ...Hum... I think I see a trend here.
