if you got it in 5 months thats faster than a friend of mine. She rented her home and moved into a government apartment because she couldn't afford to pay rent,it took her about 15 months before she recieved a check. I do feel for you. it seems like once a Dr. will support your claim thats all you should need. but the system don't work like that. I wish you the best.

If you get Disability to approve your benefits in only five months, consider yourself very lucky. The reason it takes so long is because the system is bombarded with thousands of applications and a majority of them are fraudulent. People think it is a way of life. (My husband's ex wife's new husband spent 6 years collecting full disability and kept working under a different SSN. There was nothing wrong with him, to prevent him from making a living. He had to pay back $135,000)

I sympathize with you because it took my dad a year to get on disability. However, there are only about 10 million people applying and I am sure that is the main reason it takes so long.

Because they don't want to pay you back the money you paid into the system for so many years. They would rather spend your money on bombs and bullets to kill hundreds of thousands of innocent people under the false premise of fighting terrorism.

Do you think anyone really cares if you hocked your ring(s)
I do hope the government takes its time evaluating your case, I for one don't want a healthy freeloader on SSI.

The government moves very fast when it wants to. That should answer your question.
