on the long run you need more RAM. But - for a quick work around you can fix it doing the following:
right click on my computer, select properties, click Tab Extended, click on System Options and increase the value for the virtual memory. maybe you have to restart the comp afterwards.

Seems like you're getting a lot of answers so let me explain some. Some users are telling you to get a bigger hard drive. That's an okay idea but not the optimal solution. The reason being is rather than your computer using memory (RAM), it will use the hard disk as pretend RAM. This is what Windows refers to as the Page or Swap file. When there is not enough memory (real RAM) for your system to use, it writes data to the Page file and then to the hard drive, then fetches it (reads it) when needed. This sounds slow right? It is. That is why you want to go with more physical RAM in your machine. Your DVDs will play smoother, your applications will run faster, and you'll be much happier with the performance of your machine. The best place to purchase RAM is from Crucial as they have a great product finder to get you the correct modules for your system.

Buying more RAM would be the easiest but most expensive fix. A cheap way is to increase the SWAP file (also called PAGEFILE in Windows XP). Assuming your hard drive has a few free gigabytes, you could increase the swap file up to 4gb in size (eliminating out-of-memory errors.). Still, recommend buying at LEAST 1 gb RAM for any computer today!

What type of cpu and gpu do you have? This will also affect performance. Upgrading ram will most likely not help much because games rely on the gpu. If you need more ram, search youtube on how to alocate more memory to java. -Sushi
