Because sweat collects around the hairs under your arms. If you had hairy feet, they might smell the same as your armpits... but I'm sure that's an image you could have done without!

There is no different in sweats of underarm and foot. It is due to availability of air to these places and difference in clothing. A bare foot has no bad odor while there is still some odor in underarm even if we have naked underarm.

Your underarms sweat naturally, because of heat of contact and the presence of pubic hair. Your underarms are not as tightly confined. Your feet, on the other hand, sweat because of artificial confinement ( ie. shoes, socks etc...). Because of the tight confinement of your feet due to prolonged use of shoes, your feet are susceptible to bacterial or fungal growth. The decomposition of sugars, ammonia, urea etc... is what creates the difference in smell.

There are two kinds of sudoriferous-sweat glands:
eccrine for evaporative cooling, which do not release "pheremones"
apocrine, the ones that are associated with the hair that grows at puberty, so it has pheremone "sexual attractant" chemicals in it.
Sweat also contains excretory wastes as well. When sweat is not smelling good it may also indicate some metabolic problem or disease.

Try washing and using a deoderant. Freah sweat does not smell like stale sweat that has grown more bacteria.

There are many reasons but Asians have little or no body odor and by wearing sandals, they seldom have foot odor (unless they have a fungal infection called Hong Kong Foot...Athelete's foot)...in Asian we think that the body odor is caused by diet and the foot odor is from the feet being damp (in shoes and sox).

One is a bacterial smell while the feet have a fungus smell.
That is why to always dry between the toes after bathing and wash under the arm pits daily.
