I have some bugs in my basement. But I don't know what they are. Can anyone help me identify them. Okay first off they are brown. They have alot of legs like a centipede. They have a hard, shiny shell like a beetle, or roach. But they have a sharp pointy tail like a scorpion. They are about two to our inches long. Does anyone know what they are?

Sounds like earwigs. They come around pine trees and humid weather. You have to spray for them. It will tell you on the bug cans which ones are good for earwigs. If you keep your house really cool in this hot weather, you shouldn't see much of them. But if you like the windows open, you will.

Look up cocktail's. I'm not sure if this is the right name or not. They have little nippers at the rear end that they curve up over their back in defense.
