According to nasa scientists this will cause mars to reverse its orbit cycle around its axis causing it to move the opposite way

Retrograde motion is just when a planet is at a point in its orbit, relative to ours, where instead of going from east to west in the sky, it goes from west to east. It is just a trick of the angles though.

It will only appear to in our sky.


Do you realise how physically impossible it would be for Mars to *actually* stop moving and start going in reverse?

It will continue along its current elliptical path. Nothing to worry about, BUT, a very interesting phenomena to observe.
