Yes. I do believe it still exists. I see it in the news. The kids fighting due to racial issues. I have also felt it before. I think it is wrong because when God created man, he did not specify which color would be better then the other. He says to love your neighbor just as you love yourself. I wish racism didn't exist. I continue praying for people that have that problem. Why it might exist, because people grow up not being around people of other color and are ignorant of their background or culture. Racism is totally wrong.

Yes, of course, racism takes place today.
I live in Canada and we have found that both Blacks and Aboriginals are more likely to be unemployed, living in poverty, victims of crime and in jail than their white counterparts.
There is also a considerable amount of anti-Arab/Muslim sentiment since the events of September 11, 2001. I have personally worked with one family who had the back of their home torched with racist remarks spray painted on the sides of their home, and these people had nothing to do with 9/11 ... and another case where a gentleman was severely beaten because he is Muslim and his neighbour being racist kept telling him to go home where he came from ... and because he told the taunter to stop his harassment, he was beaten up for it. The perpetrator only got a few months' probation for this heinous act.
Yet, if the same thing were done to a white family or individual by a minority, you better believe jail time will be part of it!

Yes, there is much racism today. But more than that there is prejudice over racism. Even if a person is not racist there predigest to one thing or another whether it be Color of the person next to them or what they tried for dinner the night before. So how about the best question, are you racist or are you prejidust?

Racism will always exist. People are scared and ignorant. We naturally like to congregate with like beings and physical appearances are our first clue. We have to remember that racism goes all ways, not just from the majority race to the minority race. Knowing that it exists and always will, it become incumbent upon us to address it in a calm, reasonable, logical way everytime we see it.
Discrimination is when one race holds the power and keeps another race from moving up. Discrimination still exists, but it is no longer systematic and there is always legal recourse.

Racism is alive and kicking. It's just being done subtly now. If you don't believe watch TV or ask someone about taking an African-American or Hispanic history class. Depending on your race, the first statement out of their mouth is "why can't I take a White History course?" Sounds dumb, but it's happened to me (once in my face).

Definatlay yes.I am from a very multi-culturial mixed family.Okay,stero-types are hung on to for a reason. It's mostly true that people do the things becuase they are learned inheritded, modeling.Bad tips, constant grumbling, sending things back, so Afro American.Well,I remember my grandparents being just as un-agreeable,pissed at the server,"they couldn't afford a maid",white trash Irish.
And still as I have worked in the hospitaliy industry for 16 years, girls don't want to take "that table",can we add on gratuity?
But from the other side, how am I going to be treated in place that is supposed to be a guest?
I do my best,I still cringe when I see people come in with cutsey kids, better suck up,thats the future.Oh well,I love you all and want to put a halo of daises on your head......D.

heck, yes. it's an evil world with all the sin and crap in it. racism exists b/c some people seem to think being ignorant is better then finding out the truth. or they take one person out of a whole race and just b/c that one person is dishonest or bad in some way...that means everyone is. which is just plain crap. b/c it's not true.
