What are the best ways to keep small animals out of my herd garden???

The chicken wire is a good thing but think inexpensive and give dried blood a try. You can get it at any garden center around. Most animals don't like the smell even though it has no smell to us. It will not harm your plants but it has worked well on rabbits and things that tend to eat delicious herbs. Happy planting.

there are probably several different ways to accomplish this but as for the best depends on what you are trying to keep out, have heard moth balls are good for skunks ,etc and you could use a predatory bird statue to scare them off, also pepper or even marigold (odor) will work. Also there are things in your local garden center that will work or if worse comes to worst hire a neighborhood kid with a bb gun good luck

Put up a small fence. Use wire that is close together. 1/4-1/4 or chicken wire. If it is any larger than a rabbit you might want to concider a small electric fence with a 1 mile charger.

You meam herb garden. put up a fence using chicken wire. bury the wire about a foot under ground so the critters can not dig under the fence
