The local housing authority should have a list of current landlords that participate in the program. Also, nobody can refuse you rent to you because you have Sec. 8. I'm assuming that you are a current holder of a Sec. 8 subsidy. The real key, and often difficult part, is finding an apartment that complies with FMR (fair market rent).
