Online Q&A discussion venues like this seem like the tabloids but with an interactive element that leaves us open not just to the answers but to the authors of those answers. It feels like it is the difference between sitting on a bus and just nodding politely to people as they come and go, and striking up a conversation with them.
I am very clear in my mind about it when I chat with other men - I am passing the time or sharing a hobby or swapping jokes, giving or receiving information - thoroughly harmless in the best sense of the word. When I chat with a woman, at some level there is a sexual awareness - usually but not always harmless. I feel like I am considering the possibility of a relationship, no matter how innocent it may be on the surface. And it is certainly more fun than talking with a man.
Is this exclusively an acquisitive/ conquistador/ lecherous/ predatory alpha male behavior, or do women stroll along the edge of this same fuzzy line?

Wow! That's some nice literature u wrote there! To answer that qusetion, yes, I do think women stroll along the edge of the lline when in company of a male they could be mildly attracted to. I for one, would love more male friends. I like them more than female ones, but yes, there's always a possibility of that turning into something more, since I'm hetrosexual. Anyway, to answer ur first question, are u refering to people being on Yahoo Answers or on the planet? I love yahoo answers. I've made friends on the site, I can ask or answer questions, and a lot of times I'll get honest answers, and even if some are out of line, it doesn't matter, I don't know them, they don't know me, so I can take their harmless(but maybe useful) criticism. Plus, I do have knowledge as a result of living on the earth almost three decades, I like to show it off, and this site enables me to do so. Why am I on the planet? God wants me here.
