Ah so its down after.
So Why is my Better half not conciderate enough to leave the seat up for me when SHE is finished?

Either one. We need it down as females and they need it up (believe me, it's better than them leaving it down) so to me it is a toss up. If they have to remember to lift it up we should have to remember to put it down! Hey ladies, fair is fair!

I suppose, in the western world, and in the general scheme of things, it really doesn't matter.
Lucky to have a toilet at all, some may say.
But, since you're asking - I do try and prevail upon my men to put the toilet seat DOWN. (And the lid too, actually) My mom taught me that a true gentleman who has been well brought up ALWAYS puts the seat down!!!! )
Lucky men can pee anywhere, but us poor women have to sit and sitting on a seat is much more comfy than just the cold rim....and your guys are supposed to consider this.....because, well....just BECAUSE!!!
Also: 1. It looks neater for the next person
2. It shows they have respect for me as that is my preference
and 3 - if you read anything about Feng Shui, especially if your toilet is not well aspected....if the seat is up, all your luck will go down the pan!
Well it makes sense to me!!

If we take the fact there are two people in the house one male one female.
They each use the loo twice, once for peeing and then for well
you know!
That means the seat has been up once for the male, down once for the male and twice down for the female.
Therefore it is natural for the seat to be down 75% of the time!

It really a matter of how "clean" you leave the seat. If you leave the seat down but don't flush, or I can see "evidence" then you defeat the purpose. If you leave the seat up, but it is sparkling clean, then I don't foresee a problem!

Seat down 4 a girl, if u leave it up it means that u don't care about what she wants, and that u were tuning her out. Girls like it when their men listen 2 them. if u take a huge dump, spray some air freshener that smells like flowers.

main reason is if we leave it up for you and we had to go agin befor you did and had to go bad wed eather pee our pants or fall in and youd have to pull us out or clean up a mess caused by a stuped thing that a little curtisy could saluve most wemon have bladder issues and need the little extratime it takes to put the seat down like if you had extreem direa and no time i bet you would put that damb thing down

It is SEAT DOWN...Men do not HAVE to stand to pee...it's just as easy to sit like "everyone else"...besides, don't you sit for other excretement?
Here's a good ?...Who started the stand up facilities for guys?
