Actually depends upon your perspective. If you believe in evolution, the egg came first through the evolution of the line that became chickens, and then the first chicken hatched. If you believe in creation, the chicken came first and then layed the first chicken egg.

The egg came first. Millions of years ago the giant reptials layed eggs.....chickens came much later.

probaley neither, the chicken like the human most likely droped into a heavy dencity and has yet returned to the nebulous dream from which all things came. why come, beats the heck out of me? nebular smebular I'm stuck ere now. Oh well might as well enjoy whatever I can and run like hell from the rest. To bad the poor chicken got a life nullified by predators and the Koop!

i know, the chicken came first, cus chickens are cool and they taste good. eggs came second cus my mom always makes me eat them and i dont like it, so it came second.

read Genesis(the Bible), it says that he made all creatures first so that they could reproduce.....hence the first chicken layed the egg,egg hatched..so-on...
