What worked for me was ice for 20-30min then stick my arm in the whirlpool(hot obviously) for at least 15min....If you do this, make sure you wrap the area of your arm you ice/heat as soon as you remove it from hot water....KEEP THE ARM WARM.

I know you said other than ice, but, ice works...It's better than having a sore arm or using drugs right?

alternate between heat and ice. A hot shower or hot bath might help or heating pad and maybe some over the counter pain relief.

stretch it and ice it 20 min on 20 min off also stretch it with a brace on

I would say physical therapy or putting a heating pad on it. Maybe a pain patch would work.
