Madness is a way of thinking that is judged as unacceptable on social or cultural grounds. It is relatively easy to slip into forms of thinking that go against what is regarded as normal. This can be very worrying for the sufferer because one's experiences and sense of meaning and order may seem radically different.

Take what you've written for example. Well, confusing (Life is confusing, contradictory maybe, weird). Mad brainy (yeah, the genius/madness thing). Beyond madness (dunno). Mad spelling (what's that? mad spells maybe? maybe something else). Madness beyond profession, eg cant tell (I don't understand that).

Am not mad enough to think what madness is (yeah, what is madness, again. Madness is just a label. People think in different ways and sometimes the way some people think gets labelled as wrong and called 'madness'. But it's okay.) So where do you start at a madhouse (Yeah, there are people out there, the NHS who can help and some of the drugs are quite nice and some aren't and really talking to people would be a much better NHS solution to the problem) or in your mothers womb (maybe you were born mad, question have you always been this way? etc).

So there's much sense here, this is quite understandable. What differs from more normal or typical writing is that you're not really trying to be understood so much. It might be that thoughts are coming very fast and frenetic and there's something of a manic overload of ideas going on.

If you're worried that you're going mad I would suggest the best thing you can do is find someone you feel you can talk to, who can help out also with making sensible decisions as to the best remedy. And try not to worry. You'll be fine.

I've gone 'mad' (psychotic) on three occasions and it's alright, a bit freaky but often a lot of fun at the same time. Madness is not really anything to be scared of.

Madness is an inability to discern and deal with reality. An imaginary world seems as interesting and more important.

The two common forms of madness are paranoid schizophrenia, in which conspiricies and plots are imagined and the person with the disease loses trust in everyone and the ability to love anyone.

Another common madness is psychopathic behavior, in which everything is a game and there is no right or wrong (this used to be called "moral imbecility"). This disease is dangerous because the general contact with reality is maintained, so this person can do a lot of damage and hurt a lot of people.

Loss of control over your EMOTIONS is seldom enough alone to indicate madness. Being sad all the time is not madness either.

Madness is when everyone around you seems normal but are really playacting around you and laughing at you behind your back. They don't exist in reality because you are the only one that does. I have the overwhelming urge to have a sh1t in a coffin.

I think it is the inablity to relate to the world as everyone else sees it... to be outside the normal way of thinking to be irrational in thought and deed. but it's all very subjective, what is normal for one is or can be very abnormal for another...we are all mad in this respect to a certain degree
