Duke Baby - my husband wanted to name our ds after Trajon Langon - I didn't like it, and we agreed on something less wild.

I like unique names with common middle names. That way when they are older, if they get in a profession that is very serious, they could go by the middle name.

Here are a few names we did not use: Breckin Joseph, Blythe Marie, Caton Dawn, Slade Riley.

If you're looking for names for your own child, remember: nobody can tell you what YOUR favorite names would be--it's such a personal decision. As for our kids, we chose names that were special to us and had special meanings...

Elijah Frederick : Elijah was a prophet and the name means "Jehovah is God." Frederick was my grandfather's name.

Abigail Jaclyn: Abigail was a wise & strong woman in the Bible and the name means "Joy of the Father" (I tell people it loosely translates to "Daddy's Girl"--trust me it fits her...LOL). Jaclyn is an amalgam of her 2 grandfathers' names: Jack & Lynn.
