I would recomend some thing you have always wanted to do, but held back. Some thing you have read about and always wished for but held back.
Yoga, it feels so good over time to just move and feel you body again.
A candle, a bath and some wine.
4 hours of massage and tantric sex.
Find others and connect, maybe on line or at the yoga shop, but find others that want the same growth that you do.
Read that book by that others might think you are weird if you read.
These are the things i do to get out of the daily grind.

Hi Liza,
I know exactly where you are coming from! I found that sometimes it helps to try and just do something for yourself to make you feel good and special about yourself. Money problems are full circle now for the middle class, but we still have more than those who have nothing. Rely on your faith to see you through as you reflect on how far you have come and what you need to do to continue to move forward. Monotony and routine can be stagnate but it is relevant. Make the time to try something new and do something different, whether its taken a new direction to get home or get to work ... see something different to break the routine. And don't forget how good it feels when you have your nails done, got your pedicure and a fresh hairdo not for anyone else but you! Feel free to contact if you'd like, till then take care and God Bless!

You can't cope, it's obvious.
SHOULD you? any person with sense who feels wrong in their environment should act to change it.
Don't escape into religion, drugs, television. Face it. You're miserable because of your working conditions. Not because you lack spirituality.
If you can't change your environment there, go somewhere you can. Move yourself. Project yourself into a new and better existence. Working for the man to pay off indentured servitude to debt of mortgage and school bills is a bullshit life.
Unless you have children already.
In which case "you're screwed".
And you'll come to believe it's right if you don't leave. You'll come to accept the cancer, love the cancer-- which CAN be treated. You'll come to eat your own BS lies like everyone else in the building -- fellow escapers into the science of false, inauthentic, "coping".

Try reading scriptures from the bible if you christian because with god's word there won't be any feeling of stagnant in your life. take time out to thank god for your life and for the many blessings he has given. Try a daily walk with the lord makes everyday a 'NEW DAY'.

Liza,
I know where you stand right now. You and I and people like us are not meloncholy, we are not able to instill routine inside our souls. Your aware, aware of something you're soul needs.
I bet you have no problem admitting to your mistakes or reflecting at the bad you've done for hours and then trying to grow.
How do you stop this crazy map you've made?
Look inside. Meditate. Find yourself. Then, GO FOR IT.
All this vacation talk, maybe. But without looking inside, you'll never feel like you're FREE.
Keep in touch.

Yeah, but people like chicken man and them other idiots make it interesting sometimes. And football video games tournaments like the one I played today give me some excitement. I'm gonna win that tournament next weekend. Then play another one, and win it.

take a week off work and do something you have never done before. There is bound to be alot of things that you have never tried and if you take time off you can try several of them and find something you want to do on your weekend. it is easy to get out of the rut if you really want to

Find something for yourself, and for yourself only...You are suffocating because you serving everything and anything but not yourself...in fact there is no you, but work, bills whatever....Come back to yourself, f-k bills...they will be there anyway...come back to service of yourself. Learn to enjoy yourself again, start from simple things...love Ice-cream, allow yourself, book, allow, allow, allow.

I feel like that often. I just try to stay busy and do something that helps others or the earth. It will make you feel better about yourself.
