That statistic is rubbish.
Its less than one a day, if by the idiom of run-over you mean mown by a reckless driver.

Apparently 98% of statistics are made up!! If 5% of accidents are caused by drunken drivers that means 95% are caused by sober drivers!! Ban sober drivers and let us drunks get on with it !!!!
