In 1976 I purchased my very first brand new motorcycle...a Suzuki GT 550. That was when i realized that Suzuki's were probably the most under-rated bikes out there. In 30 years I have never owned any other brand of bike. In 30 years I have never taken a Suzuki back to the dealer for any warranty work at all. They are reliable to a fault. My '04 gets compliments all the time about how great it looks. So do I think they stink? not on your life! As far as I'm concerned there are only two brands of motorcycles in the entire world...Suzuki...and all the rest! For the record...in the year 2005, the Suzuki C50 was the top selling metric motorcycle in the United States...repeat...THE top selling metric in the US regardless of make, model, or engine size.

I have a 2002 Suzuki Intruder 800 and it is an awesome bike. Maintenance free, reliable and very forgiving. I learned to ride on this bike. It handles like a dream, easy for me to push around in the parking lot, and a heckuva a lot of git up and go. I get compliments on it all the time, it's one beautiful bike.

Na. I have an 85 750 Intruder. She's good to me. I would prefer air cooled and softail look, but I like my bike's slim tank. It's a little small though for my long legs.

But she rumbles and she moves great and everyone guesses her age 10 years newer.

Of course it does ! Because you always stay behind ans breathes the gas !!!
I had all brands of motorcycles at home (except HD and BMW), but I can tell you that none of them had major defects (except when I fell down...).
If you love and respect your bike, whatever the brand, you won't have any problem !
