In business you never just quit a job, you never just go off the handles on a boss, you never tell a customer to go to hell.

Cause sooner or later that person will be back in your life somehow and you will need them. Jobs change, people change jobs, etc. The world is a circle and we all rotate around it.

To give a 2 weeks notice is not burning a bridge, it is proper biz. And just saying "I have found something that suits more of what I am looking for" is best over...."I hate this job so I got a better one".

It isn't.

2 weeks is very standard unless you work in a high level or hard to replace position. Any company that escorts you off the property the day you give two weeks notice is not worth EVER going back to.

Good riddance!

It's burning bridges all right.
At my company, it one of the professionals gives 2 weeks notice, they get walked out by H.R. the same day!
