Undiluted bleach can denature cells thus making DNA results inconclusive.

This is a really old thread but I though I would add an answer.
DNA is extremely hardy. If you had a tube of naked DNA, bleach would cause enough damage to it that you probably couldn't do the diagnostic tests that a forensic lab would need to (PCR...which makes a huge number of copies of a specific section of DNA that can be used to compare with a human sample). However, blood and body fluids are tougher. In this case, the bleach will kill all of the cells. Physically, though, the DNA is still inside of these dead cells. You need to be sure that the blood or body fluid comes in contact with the bleach long enough to break the cells, release the DNA, and inactivate the DNA. In a lab setting, usually things being inactivated in this way are left overnight. It's probably overkill (time-wise) but it gives confidence that everything is gone.
Also, fun fact...bleach works better at a 1:10 dilution than straight. So, if you are using to disinfect around your house, make a 1:10 dilution of the stuff you get from the store. IUt doesn't last very long once diluted, so you'd need to make it fresh every time.

.... Why do you ask, are you planning a perfect crime.. Bleach is a very strong reducing agent. therefore it oxidizes, reduces , all protein to much less complex molecules. That is why it discolors cloth , then, eats holes, and will completely disintegrate most anything organic.. including live tissue.. Do not handle it , avoid contact with any skin, and be especiallly careful of eye contact..

according to "CSI" Bleach used in large batches can degrade a blood sample...it may do the same for any fluids.

Why? Are you trying to clean up a murder scene?
The answer to your question is no. Bleach can't erase DNA evidence.
