Windows XP is an operating system (an operating system is the software that provides the interface for you to communicate what you want the computer to do, like run a program, and then makes the computer do it. While Windows XP does come with a few programs, it does not include "productivity" software, like spreadsheets and full-featured wordprocessing. I think what you're looking for is Microsoft Excel. This, along with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc. do not come with the operating system - they need to be purchased separately (most often in combination as Microsoft Office). However, you might not have to purchase these programs yourself, as they may have come with your computer because the vendor purchased them and put them there as a "feature" of their product.
To see if your computer has Excel, click on the "Start" menu, then select "Programs." Look in the list for either "Microsoft Excel" or "Microsoft Office." If you see "Microsoft Office," then select that and you should see "Microsoft Office Excel." Click on that, the program will load, and you should be good to go!
If it doesn't, you can purchase a version of Excel or other spreadsheet program or you can download Open Office (which includes a spreadsheet program) for free (http://www.openoffice.org).

Windows XP does not come with a spreadsheet by default. You need a spreadsheet program installed in XP. You may have Microsoft Office installed in which case the spreadsheet is called Excel (or also "Works" in some cases).
So if you cannot find it you will need to install Office with Excel or you could also try the free office suite called Open Office ( http://www.openoffice.org ). It includes a program called "Calc" which is very much like Excel, a good spreadsheet program.

You probably have Microsoft Works installed. Just look in 'all programs' for that. It has a basic spreadsheet. If you want to do really serious stuff and don't have the bucks for Microsoft Excel then do an internet search for 'open office' and download that. It has a spreadsheet, word document, draw and more. I've had it for about six months and think it's great.

If you haven't bought one then there is no Spreadsheet on your system.
Either buy MsOffice or download OpenOffice for free (damn good alternative, works like charm)
the url is openoffice.org . You'll find the latest version there.
Alternatively use an online one. Google has one I think
(be careful though because they are not even remotely equivelant to a desktop spreadsheet)

If you don't have Excel (It might not have come with the computer) there are lots of free ones. Search on Google or try this one:
