I have been to Spain 3 times and loved it every time. Lloret de Mar is a nice tourist town in Northern Spain when you can lay on the beach all day and party in the Discos all night. Then you have Barcelona it is a big city with a lot of tourist attractions like the the big Sagrada FamÃlia church. The Gothic church that has never been finished. You can go to a bullfight. Go on the Ramblas the main street in the center of Barcelona Where artist and street performers gather. Their is a lot of museums and Columbus monument. The old Olympic village and all kind of nightlife and the beach.
Then I have also been to Ibiza a small island off the coast of Spain which is know as the Party capital of the Mediterranean Sea.

Although I've never been there, I have met some people, their music is greeeeeeeeaaaat! and the people that I know that have been there say it's a nice place to live in, very laid back and welcoming. I was able to meet a huge pop band from Spain the other day, La Oreja De Van Gogh, they were all sooo, sooo, very nice and friendly, they were a little bummed cuz Spain was sent home in the World Cup, but none the less a great show and wonderful people. also gotta love that accent

I moved over here 8 months ago with my wife, we are both retired and have a small house here on the Costa Blanca. We love it, it is certainly cheaper to live here than in the UK, but there are somethings we still have to get from the UK, thank god for e bay. Weather is great, we've had a winter, and we nearly had a frost one night!, now it's summer, and temperatures are up to 36 degrees, thank god for air con, swimming pools and the beach!

I like it. I went there this year because on of my brothers lives there. Is a very beautiful country, I loved the sensation of being where history happened (well that you feel when you are in Europe in general). The food is damn good, and I'm vegetarian so it was a bit more difficult for me to find food because I wasn't in Madrid all the time. I liked the people as well, very polite.

I moved to Costa Blanca 18 months ago with my 9 year old daughter. We love it. The quality of life is so much better for her here than West London where we were. Swimming every day, sun, fantastic food, we tend to live out doors (apart from a couple of the winter months) I know wages are lower but it is so much cheaper to live here. One word of advice for anyone thinking of moving out, learn some Spanish first, It will make life so much easier.

Estupendo!
Go there, its a lovely place with a great ambience and life style
Siesta's should be made law throughout Europe. I hope we get a nice Spanish EU President soon who says we must have Siesta's.
