Alright here it is...
really good friend of mine family went away. they asked if i would watch the cat and mow the lawn. so all was well until yesterday i went to mow and the driving mower was outta gas. so in the shed i saw this thing that looked like gas. i called my friends mom cell to ask her about it. she dint answer her phone, on the message i said i wont do anything until they call me back. well then after that i saw it said all purpse gas, i put it in. right then she called back saying DO NOT put that in. so i told her i did and she was like, why dint you weight for me to call and she was like its ganna cost me an arm and leg to fix. im SO sorry, i dont no what else to say. i wanna cry. i want to be forgiven, there comin home tomorrow and i just dont no what to say or do. im ganna offer to pay for it, but i just feel bad. if i would have not done it...what should i do? will i feel this bad forever?

Well that is a tough call because you made a mistake, but it is like telling someone to come over to your house when they have never been there and not giving them good directions. They should have told you which gas to put in before they left, so they should pay half of the damages and I think it is awesome that you offered to pay for it. It takes a lot of courage to own up to something and stay honest. They will appreciate that a lot. you won't feel bad, one time I wrecked my friend's snowmobile! I hated that feeling! It sucked! But everything is ok

Hey, it's THEIR lawnmower, THEY had the stuff labelled "GAS," and they couldn't give you a straight answer when you asked a direct question. Sounds like they set you up so that someone else (you) would have to pay to "fix" their mower. Who knows, it may have been broken before you did anything to it. You were faced with a problem and were trying to be resourceful, and you owned up to them - sounds like you are OK.

First of all, NO, you won't feel this bad forever. TIME, really does heal. You will get to a point, believe it or not, when you will [ someday ] be able to la
ugh about it, but, unfortunately, that may not be for a while. In the meantime, if you make it perfectly clear that you are sorry and you are willing to pay for it, they WILL get over it. I promise!

It was a mistake. Forgive yourself. You did what you thought was right,it was wrong, learn, apologize, offer to pay for the damage, and move on. It's just a lawnmower.Don't beat yourself up. Because you care, that tells people that you have character.
