Both parents have an obligation to pay to support their child. The custodial parent needs a bigger house, more electricity, etc. because the child lives there. If one parent earns more than the other, most states have the wealthier parent pay more, but in some states it's all about 50-50. Your bf does need to listen to the others who have said GET A LAWYER and reduce it all to a written document. Take cancelled checks to prove what your bf has already been paying. Parents should try to do this without talking badly about the ex so the child won't feel bad. Both parents love the child but sometimes hate each other; and that hurts the child, who loves them both!

i would tell him to get a lawyer and get it on paper that she makes more money and does not need the support. she may have to pay him support since they both have custody! put document everything until the court date. each state is different and just to let you know my ex paid child support of $2.oo a month for 10 years. i got ripped off in the system! and each should pay for their own attorneys. i know someone who has joint custody but dad has child 90% of the time and mother has to pay support and does not have a job and he works full time. so get a good lawyer and see what they say, she makes more money then him. hope you get a good judge too!! it helps.

he needs to go to court and get it all on paper....since she works they will imclude her income in the calculations of how much support he pays. even though he has joint custody she still has physical custody so he will have to pay support. as far as attorney fees more them likely she will have to pay her own. 75 a week doesn't sound too bad but she makes more them him he might get a reduction. just make sure when he goes to court he has all his income and expenses listed....good luck i've been there myself

That is decided by the judge.
A good lawyer will be in order.
If he is the father of the child then it is his responsibility to pay what is ordered.
The judge doesn't care if he doesn't have ice cream money left.
You asked , I am just telling you like it is.

first off he should have put himself under child support when they split. the courts tend to not look at what you have done for the child already. he can try especially if he has reciepts of this. but he can also let the judge know that there is trouble at the home where daughter lives and she does stay with you on occasion...

first...it is vitally important to get documentary proof that he is paying the $75.
a bank account in the wifes name is ok...your boyfriend must keep the deposit slips.
also, start keeping a diary
write down everything that happens, particularly the dates and expenses involved in having the child in your home.
keep evidence of his income...and hers if legally possible.
then let her litigate.
