What's up with people disliking emo things. Everybody is emo (it means emotion(ly)) Emo to me means the different emotions you have in life, ex. happy, sad/depressed, mad, and just normal.(maybe other emotions too)

i agree with you totally!!!!!!!!! 100% totally! Dude alot of people i know ask me why i listen to "emo" music! I hate "emo" comments that are bad. Yeah practically everyone is emo. Some of my guy friends say "oh so you listen to those gay guys that think they know real music and black their eyes and cut their wrists?" Those comments bug me. Half the time those people talking crap about "emo" music have prolly never heard any songs or tried out listening to the music they are just making judgements according to their looks. Which is wrong. its judging a book by its cover. I agree with you. So much. What made "emo" such a bad thing? i think everyone is emo or at least they should be more emo. instead of holding everything inside. Right?

There is no such thing as an 'Emo' someone told me once. I can't remember who, but she was of the 'Punk' genre.
I read in an article, which made me think that Emo was silly. Here:
Are you looking forward to your school formal?
I don't care about formals! I'm an Emo, I'd probably turn up in T-Shirt and Shorts.
It just sounds like a completely useless thing to be. I didn't know what Emo meant until you told me, thanks for that.
I don't like those 'personality genres' they're too restricting. Because they go "I do whatever I want". But the genre they're in says they can't do certain stuff and whatever.
I don't dislike Emos as people, I just dislike the way that people catagorize themselves.

Emos are cool as long as you keep yours under control,,...emo style is good too, but i prefer the good old rock gear of gothic leather...some ppl say im like a scary mix of alice copper with the culture of jimi hendrix....is that good?
