First, acquire a small amount (about a kilo will do) of plutonium.

Then, you need to build an implosion chamber....if you REALLY want to do this right, then you will find out how (hint: search on Google under 'design your own atomic bomb;)

Now, build you very own thermonuclear device.

NOTE: This is ONLY for the elimination of groundhogs...any other use (hypothetical or otherwise) may violate local, state or federal ordinances)

Once you have built your TND (thermonuclear device), you need to set a trap at the rodents hole. I would personally recommend a laser tripwire....almost infallible, and (compared to the plutonium) very inexpensive.

After the trap is set, leave the vicinity IMMEDIATELY. I would recommend a minimum standoff distance of 500 miles...once you hear the report of the TND explosion, plan a waiting time of at LEAST 30 days before returning to your home.

Voila, no more groundhog! (Mind you, now you have to deal with the radioactive cockroaches the size of Volkswagons, but that is ANOTHER question)

Put grape flavored gum near the goundhog hole. It will eat it and die. Has to be a flavor of gum that they would normally eat the fruit. Good Luck.

Do not kill them!!!!!!!! Animals are like people in that they have fear. Find what scares them and they will leave. Smells are good deterrents . Find good incense and burn it near the area you want to rid.
