Personally, I believe the 2002 world cup was better. More specifically, I believe the excitement was enhanced by the Golden Goal rule. They really need to bring that back.

Despite the fact that the good teams are getting eliminated, I'd have to say 2006. Argentina made it past the Group of Death, the Dutch, AND the Round of 16 this time (woohoo!), and there were some truly awesome games played *despite* the bad refereeing.

Your joking right? That Korea with only 1 real professional soccer player and a bunch of military guys are 4th best? That was a complete scam! When all the best teams like Argentina, Italy, Spain and France were knocked out,,,, no wonder Brazil won! There was no competition! Germany had a very poor team that year and they made it to the finals!

the 2002 one was. this year the big teams, like the czech, brazil, england and argentina have been knocked out and its not even the semis yet. the reffing has been bad this world cup too,

Even when I don't think that referee are totally clean. I think this is one of the best soccer world cup since 1990. The best ever was in 1986 when Maradona personified how soccer should be played.

2002 was better.
This year there were more yellow cards and red cards than goals. The ref's sucked..plus the divin and acting got out of control.

dont know argentina played better in this one so i got to go with this world cup. also this world cup was the only one that i saw all the games while the last one i tried but i could not wake up
