I believe so...

The woman is lost-her and her followers have, apparently, forced McClellan County commissioners to enact a ban on CAMPING IN ROADSIDE DITCHES! To think-this is one of the mass media's resident heroes! If they had their way, she would go down in history as one of our era's great revolutionaries! I cringe to think that, someday, because of the impact that this troubled woman has had on our society, and even moreso, because of the inexplainable affection the media feels for her, our children may be camping in ditches, and suing to be allowed to park on public roads-all in the name of getting her name in the news!

If I were her kid (regardless my feelings on the war), I'd be rolling over in my grave. This woman has prostituted the memory of her son in the name of her misguided, extremist views!

Woman from Berkeley goes all the way to Texas to protest camping and parking bans near Bush's ranch. Am I missing something? Why? What's her purpose?

I don't think she's nuts but I do think she has backing and a agenda that isn't public. I do think it would be interesting to hear her explanation about her sudden turn around after Bush met one on one with her, then she described him as caring and concerned which is quite the opposite of what she's saying now. She has become a world traveler participating in protests worldwide so unless she's independently wealthy some one is backing her.

No she isn't nuts. She is highly motivated to get in Bush's face. And remember the ordinance was put in place to keep people from gathering near Bush's ranch.

How are people supposed to protest in a our "free" democracy. The right of the people to peaceably assemble is one of our guaranteed rights, but if you watch the news, people get carted off every time they do this.

And she may need therapy. I might too if my son, who I love dearly, were to die in a war that need not have been fought. It's bad enough to have a loved one perish in a just war....it's unbearable to lose one in a sham war.

How might you feel?

Unfortunately, Ms. Sheehan is not "nuts".

It appears that she believes that the death of her son was the result of a political blunder.

Why do you find her actions so hard to fathom? Even if you dont agree with her, there is nothing that takes a genius to figure out.

It is not like she is out there blowing up people shopping for their evening dinner.

It is not like she is breaking into peoples home and murdering them.

It is not like, well, I guess you get the idea...

People who complain about her are almost as bad as Ann Coulter saying that women whose husbands died on September 11th shouldn't have the right to oppose the President.

As for her son's grave not having a headstone (which it now does), this is what she had to say:

For the first year after Casey was killed, I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to place a TOMBstone on my son's grave. I didn't want one more marble proof that my son was dead. I couldn't even call where he was buried a "cemetery," I had to call it "Casey's Park." I placed fresh flowers in the cup every week and journaled there almost on a daily basis, and often laid on it and fell asleep and dreamed of my needlessly killed son.
We had a Casualty Officer who abandoned us when our mortuary refused to pay the cemetery and told us that the "government sent the money to the mortuary, so now it is your problem. You may have to sue the mortuary."

Why is it nuts to exercise your first amendment rights. She want Bush to listen to her of course he is not and no President would but she still have the right to protest and he is making rules to keep her from doing that cause he dont want to hear what she is saying. Do that answer your question Ann Coulter?

Not as much nuts as misguided. I feel for her loss, but she is going about this all the wrong ways.
