The red sox will not have to get by both the white sox and detroit. Those two plus the twins will slowly grind out the remainder of the season against each other while toronto and boston come out of the east. The al playoffs will be
AL East Boston
Al Central Chicago
Al West Oakland
Wildcard Toronto
ALDS Boston over Oakland
Chicago over Toronto
ALCS Boston over Chicago 4-2
Series Boston over LA 4-1

Not too concern. The Red Sox will pass the Detroit and Chicago just like they to the Mets. The team that worry me is. Toronto's Blue Jays. They seem to have some difficulty with the Blue Jays all year.

No way.
Chicago and Detroit are playing real good baseball right now, so not a chance.
They'll get into the postseason, but not to the World Series.

It' just too early to tell! Baseball is so unpredictable- it changes everyday! I hope they keep doing what they have been doing- I hope we don't get anymore injuries- I hope Clement, Foulke and Wells can come off the DL and produce- and I HOPE HOPE HOPE we get an interesting trade before the trade deadline. I am routing for the Mets in the NL- Red Sox vs Mets in the 2006 World Series- PAY BACK BABY!!!!! Youkilis is our answer to Buckner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They're better than the '04 Sox. I agree they need to get more pitching, but if they do, they should be the team to beat.
Detroit isn't battle-tested, they may make the playoffs but they won't go deep. It'll probably be an all-Sox ALCS.

Ortiz needs to hit and 2 pitcher isn't going to win it, especially with wakefield and other mediocres in the bottom 3. A deal for another starter will help, and so will Ortiz hitting .300

You know it. They're pitching is there. They already have 2 10-game winners before the all-start break. Their closer has 23 saves and a 0.46 era. Then that line up. Its looking pretty good.
