I have mushrooms growing in my grass and even more around the trunks of my trees?

How do I get rid of them because everybody says that they will kill my trees? Please help!

you should show pics of them to experts ... one kind of fungus that grows around the bases of trees, Armillaria, can be an indicator that your tree is already damaged badly by the fungus (the "mushroom" is only the above ground part -- there is already an extensive colony of fungal threads in the ground). Not everybody says they will kill the trees. The way to get rid of them is to not water so much. Mushrooms thrive in a moist environment. You can also break them off and get rid of them, but they will leave spores (the equal of seeds). Applying Captan to the soil might help too.

They will not kill your trees. There's no way that I know to get rid of them, just pull them up when you see them. Don't squash them or their spores will start new mushrooms.
