A civilized nation defending itself is hardly a terrorist country. Israel has long been known as a country and a people that doesn't take crap from the arabs. This is one reason why they have survived living amongst these heathens!

As a boy, I grew up in an urban invironment, in a neighborhood that was half Christian and half Jews. Amongst my peers, there wasn't a lot of socializing with the Jews. We thought they were arrogant and didn't want to socialize with us. We didn't understand these people although they spoke the same language. They were more committed to education and they rarely got into trouble with the police. We, on the other hand, were urban misfits that didn't take school too seriously. We frequently ran from the cops, got into mischief, and were serious under achievers.

The one thing we did not do, is fight with the Jews. That's not to say we weren't always looking for a fight, because we were. Basically, we were sh it disturbers. The reason we never fought with the Jews is because they never offered a reason or opportunity to do so. They would rather walk away from a silly disagreement than duke it out for no good reason. The Jews needed a damn good reason to fight, and we never had a very good reason.

As I matured and reflected back on those times, I realized this attitude was inbred in the Jews. Evan as young teens the Jews had a presence that we didn't understand. They had a discipline that confused us. Even if we wanted to fight the Jews, they offered us little reason to do so.

I compare the Jews of my youth to the Israeli's of today and I see the same people. I believe the Jews just want to live in their homeland in peace. I believe too, that the arabs refuse to allow this, particularly the more militant arabs like Syria or Islamic Iran (Persians), who support the Palestinians.

Terrorism is the unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property.

This was a government-sanctioned act, and lawful by their standards.

Holy War is an oxymoron. Heck, it even says "God is love" in the Bible and probably in the books of other religions. Anybody who thinks that people should die because they are in a different religion than them is not a "Man of God".

Terrorism implies secrecy, this was a government sanctiones attack, and the Palestinians started it.

Here's a quote from your aticle:
"On Saturday, a Palestinian official said the soldier whose abduction sparked Israel's invasion of Gaza "

That's why!!!

Because it's Israel and they like to steal other people's lands then blow them up when they complain. As long as it'd done with America's planes, it's ok.

I agree, that sure sounds like terrorism by definition. :(
