We're moving to Salt Lake City. I'm at a loss for where to start looking for a house. I've heard the East Side is nice. My hubby needs a reasonable commute to the Airport. Any suggestions?

Bountiful Utah (North of SLC) is a nice place to live. You can also try places in Davis County. Housing is cheaper in Davis County then in Salt Lake/Utah County. Check areas like Kaysville, Layton, or Syracuse. The commute is less than a 1/2 hour to get to SLC.

Yes, South Salt Lake is very good i live there it is a nice place, if u live on the east it will be a pretty long commute, but south or north salt lake is prime for airport commuting...Dont live in West Valley a lot of ghetto and gangs....i'd go for south salt lake ; )

I think that Holladay, Utah is a nice place to live in the Salt Lake Valley. It is on the east bench within reach of the resorts of Brighton, Alta, and Snowbird and still a reasonable commute to the airport.

It really depends on your price range, are you renting or buying? What do you want to spend per month. If you are looking for a family neighborhood Sugarhouse is great. Right on I-80 (freeway to the airport) Lots of great shopping, parks, schools, & good places to eat.

Anywhere in town is close to freeway access which means an easy airport commute. Sugarhouse is good, Avenues are good.

SLC sucks. I was there for 2 days and got rousted and harassed by some redneck cops for jaywalking.

The Morons run the city and take little truck from outsiders.
