MN- I was posed w/this question. If I commit a crime, could my lawyer come from a firm which represented my victim? He didn't represent my victim, but his firm did. I need to know if conflict existed in this situation. What law was violated, if any were.

I think your lawyer should disclose this conflict and give you the opportunity to respond. If he didn't do this, you should call the state Bar Association. He may have violated his code of conduct.
