Then maybe the Muslims should be the bigger man and make the first step towards peace by ending all acts of terrorism against Israel and the United States. If that happens, Israel would be happy to leave the Muslims in peace.

That's like asking why the Irish hate the English. It has something to do with centuries of "conditioning" & just plain old survival. Perhaps it is because the Muslims PRAY for power & the Jewish are born with it. How many times have you heard of a Jewish person committing suicide in order to kill the enemy? The Muslim people are not ALL bad, but how can the Jewish trust them with all they have done to wrong other people, including themselves! I am American with the blood of a Jewish Woman running in my veins, & although I do not practice any Religion, I feel the connection of my ancestors & respect the gifts & curses of the bloodline. American Muslims seem to be weak compared to their homeland counterparts. This will be their downfall, unfortunately.

Its not the Jews that hate the Muslims. I would say it is the other way around. The propaganda coming out of the Arab world smacks of Nazi style antisemitism. It is horrifying and unjustified. Check out this project that looks at Arab media and how they portray Jews. Anyway the web site also monitors Israeli media just to be balanced. Hopefully peaceful Muslims from that region will speak up against the hatred coming from their media.

Jews do not hate Muslims for the most part, and Muslims do not hate Jews for the most part. That is generalizing. THe Arab world is not at peace because of an Israelite who decided he couldn't wait... for further reference, read the Book of Genesis. Ishamel and Issac formed the Arab nations (Ishmael, his mother was of Egyptian descent) and Issac formed the Israelite nation. They have been quarreling ever since.

you can find bigotry and intolerance everywhere and promoted by any and all groups whether they are religious, political, ethnic, national, etc. the problem seems to be part of general human dysfunction. as you imply the world needs peace. the real way to get it, of course, is to somehow have people become tolerant of one another. but how can this be accomplished when people are trained from any early age to distrust and "hate" their neighbor? moreover, sadly , there are "elite"(according to themselves) factions on the planet who directly benefit from all of the chaos created by the "divide and conquer" dramas which arise from the intolerance. there's "big money" to be made by those who supply the arms, etc. to the warring parties who "hate" one another. overcoming all the brainwashing that has been done over the centuries, and the agendas and greed of those who profit from maintaining the status quo of endless enmity is, probably, a mind boggling task. good luck to us all!
