I was so sad and depressed! I almost cried I felt so sad seeing Ronaldo so disappointed.

I am Australian and Ronaldo is a player whose skills and ability I respect even though I do not support Brazil as such. But I got so annoyed on this forum with how quickly people turned their backs on him when he was struggling.Ronaldo should definitely have no regrets in his footballing achievements and what he has given to Brazil and the game. He is one of the best and always will be.I was hoping that even if they lost he had a good game and was not criticised or made fun of any further. None of them played well and have not really been above any other throughout the entire tournament. Though as the commentators noticed when Brazil were shocked into having to perform and try to earn the result, it was Ronaldo that tried to lift his game to do that. I felt for him with it being most likely his last outing in the WC.
With that said Zidane, the old man of football showed those boys around the paddock like a teacher. He was brilliant today. He dribbled the ball past Brazilian players like they were school boys with a lot to learn from a master. I hope the french coach now appreciates what he still has to offer. I doubt they would have done it without him. Very impressed with him today. Brazil will return in 2010 now with less complacency and more real passion to win. As for Ronaldo my best and sincerest wishes for his future. He has been an inspiration to many.

I definately did not feel sad. I felt elated that finally France has proven what was all along- that Brazil has not played a good game during this world cup. It also has to do with the fact that they won against Ghana when their game was not good, and some of their goals were offsides and the 3-0 was not representative of the game that was played. Yeah, I am biased towards Ghana so any team that took Brazil out was my hero. I have never felt or been more French than I was today. Go France.

It goes to show you how difficult it is to win a championship. You can have the best team on paper, but until you get on the field, you never know.
My opinion is that Brazil plays just well enough to win, and does not take the competition seriously enough. Part of what makes them great is that joy that they play with; it seems that they play with no pressure, and that allows you to concentrate on your game. But competitions like the World Cup ratchet the pressure up to a whole new level, and that needs to be addressed. Brazil feels that their talent alone will get them through, and that clearly was not the case today. France clearly brought their "A" game today, and came to play, Brazil did not. Shades of 1998; so near, yet so far....
I would council a young person today to bring your best game every day, and give it your all.
It takes more than talent to succeed. Hard work, pride, heart, and the ability to take advantage of opportunities, and seek out those that can help you win.
France was definitely the better team today.

No one doubts Brazil's football abilities. They have many young players and will win future World Cups. I'm sure they will be the favorite going into the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
On the other hand, France is a relatively old team (Zindane and Henry). I think this is their last chance for many years. Both teams played very well today. France played a bit better. Brazil has nothing to be ashamed about.

i couldnt be happier! they played lousy! i was so sick of everyone cheering for brazil just because they heard that brazil plays great. dont talk about soccer when u dont know soccer. dont make bets on the world cup if u've never seen a single game. brazil deserved to be out. their hardest opponent before this was japan! there hasnt been any magic in brazilian soccer at world cups since the 70's. just take a look at old games! go germany!

I feel so depressed. They just didn't play like themselves. But Thiery Henry goal was real boss. I hope Portugal beats france and Italy beats Germany.

Finally Brazil one of the most boring soccer teams in the world cup this year are gone. They only played ONE real team and they LOST(FRANCE). Also they only got ONE SHOT on net. ONE SHOT which is simply PATHETIC. I'm sure you'll jump off the Brazilian bandwagon and on another one. Brazilian fans are PATHETIC. Bye Bye Brazil and boring soccer.

They deserve it, you know why, because they suffer from arrogant, all of them are playing in a big clubs(Barcelona, Intermilano, Realmadrid,.........), there's no brazilian football spirit in them, I hope this loss will bring them back to their good playing.
Also their coach was so wrong, why Cafu who 36 years old playing when he have a player like Sisenio in the same place, and why Ronaldinho play in the back like that, and why Robinho didn't play in the start, all of Periera formation was so wrong and he must confess of that.

They didn't play with heart. It looked like the USA Basketball team.
Ronaldo was the only player who looked like he cared, every possession.
