The Tigers have a good balance of youth and veteran pitchers, however the closer is a major concern. Todd Jones does'nt have a dominate pitch, and his fastball lost some velocity. I would like to see Rodney closing games. They need a big left handed bat. With that, they could go all the way just like the White Socks last year.

Yes, we are in line for The World Series This year! Why? At the beginning of the 20th Century, the Tigers had Ty Cobb so now comes the beginning of the 21st century. We must be very good again! At least we are playing the game well for the first time in along time!

They are for real!! if their pitching holds up and they avoid key injuries, they very well could be inn the World Series. That would be good for Detroit and for Baseball!! What a comeback year they are having!!

Go Tigers.

They are a good team, but young and don't compare to the Sox in the division. Young arms with all these innings and young players can't handle the September stretch, or possibly the October playoffs. Look for a slow start after the all-star break.

I think the Tigers can definitely make the playoffs, but I'm not sure if their momentum will swing them all the way into the World Series.

I would absolutely love for that to happen...but I know that The White Sox are too good NOT to repeat as Champions.

even though they are doing very well this year i tihnk there pitching is too inexperienced to make a world series run, in a year or two i think they will be realy favorites
