Nah- you're an insufferable snob if you then turn around and no longer speak to people who DO go bowling. If it sounds boring to you then don't go. If you're really just worried about what people will think, that'll probably hurt your image more in the long run, so it's best to just do what you WANT to do.

not at all!! bowling was once considered a game for the working class. As well, in the 50's, 60's & 70's a bowling alley would have a bar and it was known as a place where people went to drink and smoke so therefore, young people were not usually allowed. Thus, the game and place got the reputation for being a "party" place and not a place that nice girls went to.
especially in the South.

What image would that be??? I wouldn't say it would be a snob I would say it was weird that you thought bowling would effect your image!!! Or is it that you suck at it and that would make people laugh and you don't want to be laughed at? Guys like it when girls are natural and not fake-go bowling, have fun and quit worring about what people think of you!!! Who are they and why would they be better then you?

No, only a borning person who will miss out on a lot of the fun things in life because they're too scared to be thought poorly of. But don't worry, when you're 90 and getting ready to die I'm sure you'll be proud of all that you didn't experience because you had a "rep to protect".

I refuse to go bowling because I just plain suck at it. It's not fun for me to throw my ball out there and have it go into the lane next to me. I'm not sure I enjoy being the brunt of jokes because I'm so bad. I think I'm the reason they invented bumper bowling.

no proubly not a snob just sounds like you are affraid to fail infront whoever you tryiing to protect this image from.besides whats wrong with bowling its fun its not like you throwing yourself down the bowling lane to knock down the pins.

In this case, rufuse to go bowling, especially they allow smoking inside. You don't want to smell like a smoker especially if you aren't a smoker!
