Depends. WHERE in Michigan do you live? Is it a larger city or a very small city? Generally, the jobs would be in the larger cities.
BEFORE moving ask yourself:
1 - What kind of weather do I prefer? If you like hot weather, then NV may be a good choice - they are growing fast - nw homes, so your husband may be able to find work quickly. Cost of living is lower than East Coast, I believe. Lifestyle is more relaxed.
2 - What kind of weather do I NOT like? IF, on the other hand you hate hot weather (like I do) then NV may not be the choice.
3 - Are SCHOOLS important? IF your children are nearing the end of their highschool years, then you have more choices.
4 - What are the attitudes of the people in your target cities? ((I would travel before moving - BUT have moved successfully WITHOUT traveling to a place first - - there is a way to pre-determine this))
5 - Is PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION needed? IF so, then a larger city would be the logical choice.
6 - Do you currently own a lot of stuff? ((I have been collecting data for 10+ years & before I moved, scanned all the books & papers & completed the major portion of writng & dumped over 1,500#)) Remember, the more stuff you own, and the longer distance you move, the more expensive your move.
7 - Would you move away from family if the place has good jobs?
8 - Are there HEALTH concerns? (Asthma, heart problems, etc) If so, make sure there are good medical facilities and the CLIMATE does NOT aggravate health problems.
9 - What about living in a high altitude location? Douglas County in Colorado had a huge growth spurt in new construction previously.
10 - What about the CRIME RATE? Some places have a high crime against the PERSON, (assault, robbery, etc), whereas other places have a higher crime against PROPERTY (auto theft, etc.)
Did you know that the "timing" of WHEN you move is equally as IMPORTANT as the place where you move to? I have used a spiritual approach in timing things, such as the buying / selling of my homes, moving, applying for jobs, & all sorts of things.

Do some research on the web. What kind of job are you looking for? That will determine what direction in which to head.
