Ashley Cole or Heargraves

Lampard may have been the most disapointing player for english fans.
Gerrard and Joe Cole were not playing at their best too.
Rooney is overrated (like most of english players ?), but still very young, will be better in the next tournament.

Tough one. I wouldn't say owen because he was out too soon, Lampard was too poor, Gerrard didn't live upto potential, Rooney possibly helped lose it for them, Crouch wasn't inspiring enough yet, Lennon wasn't given enough of a chance, hargreaves and carrick were good but not featured enough to be the overall best, cole was good but too much of a show pony, beckham was good but was injured and unwell a bit too much to inspire the team enough, terry made too many blunders like in the sweden game. I think that leaves ferdinand and ashley cole... but I don't think either did amazingly, just enough and just did their job to a good degree. I guess that leaves... oh... no one left :(
I guess the whole team was not great collectively and no one shone for them, meaning they are now out because of it. The whole team has to take responsibility...

I'll give a tip of the cap to Joe and Ashley Cole. Their work on the left was much more inspiring than Beckham on the right.

All lost, all pathetic. The ones who were to be the leaders, the most pathetic.
