Yes, my little cousins watched it and loved it, sure they didn't understand part of it but they still have the basic idea. There is violence but it isn't that bad and most of it is directed at monsters and the such so it wouldn't make them more violent against each other or anything like that.

There are not any sexual scenes interior the action picture. i think of a few youthful toddlers could discover it slightly frightening considering the fact that there are some very violent scenes (e.g. heads getting chopped off) and the character Gollum has been standard to scare some human beings. i think of 12+ is in all threat the excellent age selection.

I don't know many 12-or-less- year-olds who would grasp a lot of the major themes within the films. They are also pretty violent and would probably frighten small children.

No, too violent for younger kids. Thats why theyre rated PG13.

Although I have a 6 yo goddaughter who understands already- everything in movies is make believe, no one really dies in movies, theyre acting. But we would never let her watch LOTR (at least not yet)

There is a fair amount of violence, especially in the 2nd and 3rd movies. But it's not any worse than alot of movies out there right now.

Yes. Both of my children 10 & 8 have seen it and they loved it. They actually stayed just as still as I did through all three. and they still ask to watch it now that it is on DVD.

I don't see why not. It is one of the only series that has no swearing, sex, and all the batling is so fantasy, it cannot be mis-construde with todays violence.
