I agree. It seems France is better than Italy and Germany. But Germany is the host. I think France and Germany will meet in final.

whoa, lets not jump to conclusions too fast. First of all, Brazil were never favourites, at least not for me! Secondly, Argentina were one of the favourites from their latest performances so by your logic, Germany are favourites (which they are not). All the teams seem equally matched. I think Italy and Portugal are definately the weaker teams in the semis. Not just from their poor performances in the tournament so far, scraping wins, but they don't have teams that are "as stong". But who knows, this is world cup football, anything could happen and it is not down to the teams having strong individual players, it's down to the team being able to play well together and thats what makes them world class.

lets face it, brazil played lousy this cup. their hardest opponent before france was japan. just cuz france wins one game against an uninspired brazil, you cant call them the faves. france wont even make it past portugal. germany is the clear favorite now. they keep getting better, and they play with lots of enthusiasm. final will be portugal vs germany, with germany taking their 4th cup.

i would say germany,
home advantage is a big thing.
look at south korea, who in 2002 got to the second roung, through home advantage. so i think germany will take it.
just like france won it in 1998, while playing at home.
