The 1812 Overture is an orchestral work by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky commemorating the unsuccessful French invasion into Russia.

I'm not aware of a Bach melody with cannons, but you're probably talking about the 1812 Overture by Tchaïkovsky. This Symphony relates the Invasion of Russia By Napoléon.

The only thing I can think of is the 1812 Overture, but I don't know if that is even by Bach. The Boston Pops always plays it on the 4th of July.
