I am an immigrant to canada, have been 11 years ago. I have nursed a sick mother and have had lot of emotional and abusive attacks from her. Now that she's settled, I find myself unable to cope, unable to hold down a job (I mean I can go for up to a half year, but afterwards, I find myself in a bad need to run, escape). Where can I go for help?

sounds like youre burned out - you need to recharge your spirituality..... I am not vey familiar with canada, but I would locate the nearest Nurses association and ask them for some input - even if you are not a nurse, they can help you get through this

good luck

You are probably having a hard time coping with the mental and physical abuse and the time and draining energy it takes to care for a sick one and on top of that a sick love one. It is hard to see your mom or dad go down hill when you are used to them taking care of you. Search google or yahoo for support groups in your area or see a licensed counselor!!
