The exterior of the house actually exists. It is located in England and is called the Harlaxton Manor. But, all the parts of the movie shot inside the house were on set and included a lot of special effects. I hope I helped you.

The house in this movie did really exist. The house used in the film is located in Grantham, England and is owned by the University of Evansville (Indiana). It is used by students that study abroad.

Yes but the movie changed the story because there were a lot of murders in the movie and the true story but in the movie the little girl is in the boys room! but yes the house is real but im sorry i dont know where it is.

yes it is a real castle called Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire, England.
