What if you found out you were going to have twins and knew you couldn't take care of both of them and had to let one go to adoption, how would you make such a decision?

My mom had twins nearly a year ago and she was very happy about it. She had a boy and a girl. Anyway, you can handle it. It is alot of work, but they are wonderful. We weren't worried about money. But if that is a problem, then the state offers a program called WIC(womens, infants, and children). It gives free infant formula, milk, chesse and other things to the mother. Anyway, I really feel that you can handle it. And also, they wouldn't want to be separated. Twins have a bond when they are born, if you separate them then you will have more of a handful handling one than both of them. My mom and I handle both babies without a big problem. My dad dosen't help much, I mean he does but he works during the day, so he don't like to help very much. We are always busy but they are wonderful. You can handle it no matter what you may believe.

I think it would be a tragedy to seperate them. You are stronger than you might think. Ask for help family organizations for multiple births. Most of all pray because your decision, believe it or not will effect them anbd you for the rest of yours and their lives
I was pregnant with twins and in my 5th month I lost the girl. That was such a deep loss. Yours might not be that fierce but I have my son but on his birthday I think what she would be like etc.

You mention you are married - what does your husband think? I was pregnant with twins, and was scared to death. Then one of the babies didn't make it passed the first trimester. I'm still mourning the loss of that baby, even though my daughter is a well and healthy four year old. I think if you gave one up and kept one, it would be even worse than my situation.

If you are going to give one away you should give them both away. Twins have a speical bond with each other. If a parent is planning on giving up a child for adoption, they should try to give up them both and just find a family that will accept them and let them be together.

Oh my God, how could I ever think of giving "one" up? I thought for a while I was going to have twins and was actually disappointed when I found out I wasn't.

If you can't take care of both then maybe you should adopt them both out. You can't split them up. Just think how mad they would be if you gave one up and not the other.

No, I would actually try before I would give up. Or I would see if my friends or relatives could help me...and where did the husband go?!?

Which one would you KEEP?
He/She will be affected as well~

The one you give away would be
knocking on your door at 18,
with questions you couldn't answer...

Hope this is only hypothetical :(
