I noticed that some people said that eating while watching TV makes you eat more while some said it makes you eat less.
I felt the same way. Some days I felt like I ate more , while some days I felt like I ate less. After I asked this question I thought about this for a while. And I think that when I'm eating meals I eat less, because I'm too focussed on the TV and want to finish eating fast so that I can continue watching TV. ( I end up rushing even when I am hungry ). But if I eat snacks while watching TV , I feel like I eat a lot more than without the TV.
I also think that it has something to do with the volume. I think the louder the TV volume is the more impact it has on how much I eat. I find that if the TV volume is low, it doesn't really make much difference on how much I eat.
Well, this is just my observation.

I'm afraid we do. It's a bad habit but we don't have a dining table, as I'm using it for my PC workstation.
We did get pretty fat, but we lost all the weight and still kept watching TV, so I don't think you can completely blame the television. You do have to be more aware of what you are eating and a bit more disciplined as it's too easy to snack along to favourite shows.

We are not into formal meals. We all tend to eat near the t.v. I don't think we eat any more than anybody else. Since we are all relaxed, we tend to enjoy food more and tend to even talk more than when sitting at the kitchen table. If I'm not where I can watch t.v., I always read while I eat. The only exception, of course, would be in a restaurant, and then I miss my book!

I eat in front of the TV regularly, but I use a plate, and put a portion of the food I've cooked on to the plate. There, overeating problem solved.

I don't eat regular meals with the TV on but I will eat dessert in the living room. OOPS...I do eat lunch in the living room on weekdays while I watch "As the World Turns".

We have t.v.'s in every room & always eat with one on. I turn on 1 or 2 as soon as I get up, well, my computer goes on first. I even have a small battery operated t.v. in my bathroom.
Yes, as soon as a good program is coming on we always think what can we have to eat while we watch it. We eat all our meals with one on in the kitchen.

Less, because you're paying more attention to the Tv than eating.

Sadly, we do. I swore up and down when I became a mom that we would sit as a family at the table and no TV! Guess what, we don't eat as a family and the stupid boob tube is always on.

We eat in front of the TV most of the time. I bet we do eat more in front of the tube. Sometimes you zone out while and don't realize how much you are eating.
