Very corny by today's standards. The parting of the Red Sea and the burning bush look particularly fakey.

Heston himself acts like an animated wax figure. He was much more lifelike in Ben-Hur.

I'd put Ten Commandmants on a par with Jason and the Argonauts (except for the skelton fight at the end of Argonauts, which is chilling and especially well done).

I DO .. but it can change little better but Charleston Heston did a great job in that movie than the other actors for ten commandments .. thats my opinion !

oh yes! i grew up watching this film, and I thought it was done well. I loved Yul Brenner, and Charleton Heston
